English 8 students are finishing up their analytic paragraphs on “The Christmas Gift,” a chapter from The Circuit. The kids did some amazing work today and made substantial progress on the project. Additionally, several students are demonstrating mastery at

• selecting quotes
• editing quotes, and
• embedding quotes.

We’ll finish up tomorrow.

English I students went through the famous Queen Mab passage, using their expanding knowledge of:

• elliptical constructions,
• parallel structure/parallelism,
• inversions, and
• repetition

to help them make some sense of Mercutio’s difficult monologue.
