English 8 students finished The Diary of Anne Frank. We’ll have a test on Tuesday on the work as a whole.

English 8 students have almost finished The Diary of Anne Frank.  Students will be finishing tomorrow and having a final test on it on Tuesday

English 8 students worked on The Diary of Anne Frank, act two scene three. Lots of changes going on in that seen, and students got some resolution to some conflict that has been building through the entire play.

English I Honors students began a couple of lessons focusing on final things in the novel. We will have a small test tomorrow on phrases.

  • English I Honors: prepare for the phrase portion of the phrase/clause test tomorrow; begin preparing the outline for the final project, a letter to next year’s students.

English I Honors students completed the EOC today. Since most students were still taking it into fourth period, we didn’t do anything in class third period or fourth period.

English 8 students worked on the second scene of act two. We’ll be pushed to finish the play by next Friday, but we will make it — we must.

I was out with my sick little boy today.  If all went according to plans, English I students did more EOC practice while English 8 students worked on 5.2 from The Diary of Anne Frank.

We had the SC PASS science test, which means that each subsequent class was only half an hour long.

English I Honors students worked on another practice text for the EOC exam, which will be Friday.

English I Honors had another day of EOC preparation. We used an informational text as our practice today and looked quickly at using subordinating conjunctions to join sentences.

English 8 students finished up scene five of the first act in The Diary of Anne Frank. This concludes the first act.

English 8 students are finishing up the first act of The Diary of Anne Frank. We’ll be finishing scene five tomorrow.

English I Honors students had their first of four days dedicated solely to End of Course Exam preparation. We’ll be having a practice text with questions every day and going over how we’ll be using clauses and/or phrases in the test (if at all).
