English 8 students worked on the last text structure of our short unit, the spacial text structure.

We practiced with an established text, determining some of the keywords and noting how some keywords are suspiciously ordinary words:

Afterward, we finished our plan for tomorrow’s TDA, making a plan both for the pre-writing and the actual finished product itself:

  • At least a one-sentence introductory paragraph
  • Two Shaffer body paragraphs
  • At least a one-sentence concluding paragraph

Students will get a grade on their pre-writing only, and the way to ensure a 100 is to make sure they have two Schaffer paragraphs planned on their student-made graphic organizer.

English I students worked primarily with the Odyssey board game project.

We’ll continue working throughout the rest of this week.

Homework
