We had the SC PASS science test, which means that each subsequent class was only half an hour long.

English I Honors students worked on another practice text for the EOC exam, which will be Friday.

English 8 students read act two scene one of The Diary of Anne Frank.

English I Honors had the EOC field test today. We’ll be having a quiz on chapters 21-30 tomorrow, so students need to make sure they’re ready for that. The actual EOC is not until Friday 19 May.

English 8 students continued with their Anne Frank literature circles. Students should be working on act one scene three.

End of SC Ready Testing 2016

check mark photoWe’ve finished up SC Ready testing for the year. We still have PASS testing in a couple of weeks for science and social studies, but for the next week, testing is done. We’ll be back to our usual broadcasting next week.

All students today took the SC Ready writing test. No homework for any students as we prepare for the reading test tomorrow.

All classes went over the last practice of the SC Ready test, which students will be taking next week. English 8 students devoted the day to it while English I Honors students only spent the first ten to fifteen minutes on it. All students will continue the prep work through the week.

Second Practice Writing Test

All students took the second practice writing test for the ACT-Aspire, which will be on Tuesday 28 April. On Monday, we will be assessing them again as we did last week, then doing some more preparatory work for the selective response portion of the test. The test is in eleven short days!
