English I Honors students began the second half of the Odyssey today, looking at the elements of an epic hero that Odysseus exhibits:

  • Extraordinary strength and courage
  • Cleverness and deceit, also known as guile
  • Extreme confidence and a tendency to dismiss warnings.

We’ll finish up with it throughout the week.

English 8 students continued working with figurative language as we work through our short poetry unit, which should be done by Winter Break.

Homework
