English I Honors students went over Romeo and Juliet act 2 and the linguistic elements we’ve been examining with that act:

• inverted sentences
• elliptical constructions
• parallel structure

We’ll be having a test on these things Wednesday, and based on the overview today, it looks like everyone will be very successful.

We also began the day by looking at a question from the last article of the week that many students missed:

English 8 students began a new unit, looking at text structures, which will be the foundation of the whole unit. Today we went over sequential and chronological text structures.
