First period began a quick experiment with note taking: we’re using morning announcements as a way to practice our note taking skills. Here are my notes, which I provided as an example:

First and sixth periods worked on the Schaffer Model for paragraph organization. We made a labeled outline of the paragraph, available here.

Seventh period worked on textual visualization. We split into groups to look carefully at the text of “The Amigo Brothers,” a story about two close friends who end up in a boxing match against each other, and make a plan to act it out.

Homework
  • First and sixth periods: complete Schaffer model paragraph on an individual you know well.
  • Second and fourth periods:
  • Seventh period: practice parts for tableau tomorrow.

  1. The quiz for us says that it doesn’t open until tomorrow. It won’t let me take it.

  2. It should be open now. Thanks for that heads-up!

  3. Number thirteen doesn’t have any picture of video on it!

  4. My quiz or computer is messing up. After I was done it showed me all the answers. Also for a good number of problems the media would not show up.

  5. It also on mine deleted my answers. I have no idea why!

  6. Deep breaths, everyone! We’ll work it out.
