English 8 students went over the ladder of inferences — the steps we make when creating inferences.

  1. Observational data
  2. Filtering
  3. Adding meaning
  4. Creating assumptions
  5. Drawing conclusions
  6. Adjusting thinking
  7. Taking action

We watched a Ted-Ed video covering this and then looked at some real-life examples:

English I students went over the most famous scene in theater: the famed balcony scene (act 2 scene 2). We did a Whoosh of the scene in preparation for a closer examination tomorrow. (The link for watching the E1 stream is here and available to GCS users.)
