English I students worked on the monomyth from Joseph Campbell’s The Hero with A Thousand Faces. We only made it through the first three stages of the hero’s journey:

  1. Call to adventure
  2. Refusal of the call
  3. Supernatural aid

We’ll continue working on it tomorrow.

English 8 worked on their article of the week about global warming and the effect it is having on Iraq, the cradle of civilization.

We continued with independent practice with central/main idea, reading a short informational text dealing with autism. We’ll continue working on it tomorrow.

Homework
