We determined the tone after a bit of work and learning a new word: flippant.
English 8 students had a quick review of Schaffer organizational techniques as we planned not one but three rather complicated paragraphs comparing and contrasting Henry Box Brown’s slave narrative with the events in Nightjohn.

Students will have the opportunity to earn some extra credit by taking these very roughly planned paragraphs and actually writing out the paragraphs. The amount of credit earned will depend on the quality of the paragraphs submitted.
