Today was picture day, and that threw things into a little more unpredictability than many of us like, but we all adapted and moved on. English I students began a new unit, which focuses on poetry.

We began by looking at “Because You Asked About the Line Between Prose and Poetry.” Since it’s new material, I streamed and recorded the class, so students who were absent can view the material here. Note: you must be logged into your GCS Google account to access this.

English 8 went over diction in Nightjohn, examining how the author creates the authentic voice of a slave girl through carefully selected diction.
