Today we had a Socratic Seminar on a simple but not-so-simple question: who is most culpable for the deaths that happen in Romeo and Juliet? Each table had a chance to make an argument, and then everyone engaged in a heated yet civilized discussion of who is to blame.

We’ll be moving the discussion onto FlipGrid to finish it up.

Homework

  • English I Honors:
    • go to the “Administrative Unit” in Classroom to find the link to the class FlipGrid group and create a video stating your position about character culpability, then reply to other students’ ideas;
    • work on the “Decoration Day” assessments (on Moodle);
    • make sure you’ve chosen both your songs for the project by Tuesday.
