English 8 was a little on the empty side today: almost half the students were out for a field trip, so we did some more practice on IXL with those who remained.
English I Honors students continued with subordinate clauses, taking a day-long break from Mockingbird to give students a chance to complete the reading for the tomorrow’s lit circles.
Homework
- English 8: complete C.3 on IXL (tone).
- English I Honors:
- complete the IXL practice on identifying subordinate clauses (you must reach at least 80%);
- for five of the questions, save a screenshot into a Google Doc (How do I do this on a Chromebook?) and be prepared to explain its function (adverb, adjective, or noun). (This is due Friday.)
