All students took the Q2 math benchmark test today, which meant we were on a two-hour-delay schedule and each class had only thirty minutes.

English 8 students had a chance to complete test corrections from our last major assessment on Friday.

English I Honors students worked on their first Schaffer paragraph for the Romeo and Juliet project. We reviewed quickly how to integrate quotes well.

“never knew how it all got started”
“problem with Holland before I was born”
“ancient grudge”
Third For example, the narrator “never knew how” the “problem with Holland” started the feud. In addition, the prologue explains that an “ancient grudge” between the Montegues and Capulets leads to violence in Verona.
Fourth For example, the narrator in “DD” “never knew how” the “the problem with Holland” started the feud. Additionally, in RJ, the Capulets’ and Montegues’ “ancient grudge” leads to the violence at the beginning of the play.
Sixth For example, the narrator “never knew how” the “problem with Holland” began the feud between the families. In addition, the Montegues and the Capulets share an “ancient grudge,” which caused the brawl at the opening of the play.

We will continue working on these first connections tomorrow.
