First period had a final day of fragment/run-on practice before next week’s quiz, the same as fifth period yesterday.

First period student hard at work

Fourth period English I Honors students began their project for the unit on To Kill a Mockingbird. Things are about to get quite hectic as we transition to Lord of the Flies, a unit that has a much heavier workload of writing throughout the unit.

Sixth period students began looking at the psychology of a mob as we prepare for another analytic paragraph. As we approach the end of the unit, things are about to get quite hectic for sixth period students as well.

  • sixth period students:
    • as discussed in class, please put your paragraph here from the first assignments (and all further assignments) if you scored a 93 or higher;
    • complete the chapter eight writing assignment by Friday.
