First and fifth periods had split work: those who hadn’t yet finished their first drafts sat on one side of the room and continued their first drafts; those who’d completed the first drafts worked to add sensory details to their draft. (See class notes below.)

Second and fourth periods made their way through Monster. We’ll be finishing the book on Friday to have jury deliberation on Monday to determine the two defendants’ guilt or innocence.
