Improving Your Tone Quiz Score
English I students who are unhappy with the results of their tone word quizzes will have the option to increase their grades by completing the following work:
- Choose five shorter selections we’ve read this year.
- Determine the tone of each selection.
- Choose words from two different sections of the selections that you will use to back up your tone assertion.
- Be prepared to deliver this information to me orally after the break.
I had initially said this was an option only for students with D’s or F’s on the quiz, but I’m opening it to all students. The amount your grade will increase will be a topic for teacher-student negotiation.
for the 3rd bullet what are we suppose to do.
You just need to be able to point out words from two different parts of the poem/short story that contribute to the tone you’ve identified.
How am i suppose to do the ballad ????
If you look underneath the area where the assignment is explained, you’ll find a button to complete the assignment.
For the tone word thing you said we have to give you the information orally, but can we still have a sheet or something to look at in case we forget? Or do we have to memorize all of that?
You can have some brief notes.
