English Studies continued with yesterday’s work on using context clues to determine a word’s meaning. We have four rules from yesterday that they began applying today:
- Look for synonyms/definitions
- Look for antonyms
- Look for relationship/transition words
- Determine the function of the word in the sentence
English Strategies read chapter three from Nightjohn and had a reader’s journal writing assignment based off it.
English I Honors students finished up your first story on the unreliable narrator and began the second story.
Homework
- English 8 Studies: none.
- English I Honors:
- begin assessing the “Thank You, M’am” paragraph at the Moodle site;
