English I students, before playing a final round of the Odyssey game, worked on a review of the material they have been studying independently in No Red Ink: parallel structure. One of the most challenging topics to master, parallel structure is something we usually don’t get to until later in the year, but this year, I’m making sure we get it done relatively early so we can practice during the rest of the year.

English 8 students continued their practice with embedding quotes, this time working in small collaborative groups to create the next example of professionally embedded quotes.
