English I students had another day to work on their final analytic paragraph. The plan for the day was most certainly not to spend an entire additional day working on it, but in the end, I decided it was more important to make sure every student got some feedback before turning them loose, and that took almost the whole period.

English 8 students looked at voice in Nightjohn and how the author used the narrator’s diction to create a distinctive voice that makes Sarny (the narrator) sound like a slave.

We’ll continue working on it tomorrow.

Homework
