We continued working on Great Expectations today as we enter the final few chapters of the novel.
Our focus today was a return to foreshadowing as we looked at how a careful reader, knowing Dickens’s penchant for coincidence, can use incorporate chance into her foreshadowing toolkit.
Homework
- English I Honors:
- study for the AOW vocab quiz (27 May);
- begin preparing for the “Letter to Next Year’s Students” assignment (28 May) by
- looking at previous students’ letters again;
- reviewing the rubric for the assignment.
