English I Honors worked on another little language trick Shakespeare likes to use: elliptical constructions.

We used the prologue from act 2 as a model for our work.

We’ve got two we’re looking for now:

  1. inversions;
  2. elliptical constructions.

The former are much more common than the latter, but we’ll be examining a number of examples in the coming days.

English 8 students worked on the final day of subordinate clause practice on Moodle. Students are now responsible for finishing any incomplete work on their own for homework.

Homework

  • English 8:
  • English I Honors:
    • turn in your act 1 study guide on Google Classroom (I forgot to ask third period to do it today);
    • review act 2 vocabulary on Quizlet;
    • work on IXL as necessary.
