English 8 students continued with the second of several sessions working with tone.
We also went to the library for checkout. We’ll be embarking on silent sustained reading (well, maybe not quite so sustained) at the end of each period, so we needed to make sure students had books they were truly interested in reading.
English I Honors students worked on a simple question: who has the power in the Calypso/Odysseus relationship? We’ll be embarking on a Socratic Seminar tomorrow to resolve the question.

- mark two passages in “The Tell-Tale Heart” that indicate the tone of the passage (i.e., how the speaker feels about the murder he committed);
- work on IXL as needed;
- work on AOW vocab work on Quizlet as necessary;
- English I Honors:
- work on IXL as needed;

- prepare for the Socratic Seminar tomorrow as needed.
