English 8 students finished up Nightjohn (more or less) in class today. We had a final Effective Readers’ Skill practice (see below in homework).
English I Honors students began Shakespeare, looking at a few sonnets to get us warmed up for the Bard’s language.
Homework
- English 8: complete reading chapter 7 with the effective readers’ skills work we began in class.
- English I Honors: finish analyzing lines 5-8 in “Sonnet 29,” using the discussion we had at the end of class as a framework.
