English 8 students finished the first act of The Diary of Anne Frank. We will be completing act 2 in a slightly different way, applying some of the close-reading skills we’ve been working on this year to a final, end-of-the-year presentation/performance.

English I Honors students went over some last-minute ideas/encouragement for tomorrow’s EOC before returning to Lord of the Flies.

  • complete the first writing assignment for Lord of the Flies (turn in tomorrow evening/afternoon);
  • complete the assessments of the first writing assignment by next Wednesday;
  • read chapters 4-6 from the novel (by Monday);
  • continue working on the second batch of practice EOC reading tests (due next week as well).
