Both English I Honors and English 8 worked, in their own ways, toward their final projects as eighth graders in my class. English I Honors students began their first of four final writing assignments, each a single paragraph long. The required topic is to use the AOW about Maslow’s hierarchy as a lens through which they will analyze the first three chapters of Lord of the Flies. They will have until Friday to get this done and turn it in at Moodle.

English 8 students worked on Anne Frank, focusing again on blocking as we move toward our final close reading — a performance of the second act of The Diary of Anne Frank.
