English I Honors started the final work on the balcony scene, looking today at specific linguistic and literary elements:

• Are there any references to the motif we’ve been tracing? What is it? How does it add to our understanding of that motif?
• Look for and mark the following structures:
  • Inverted sentence
  • Elliptical construction
  • Repetition
• Look for and mark the following literary devices:
  • Metaphor
  • Simile
  • Personification
  • Allusion

Students will be presenting three of their findings tomorrow in class. 

English 8 students began the final project for the Seven Habits of Effective Teens STEAM unit. We’ll be working on this through next week.
