English I Honors students worked on a practice test before the first Romeo and Juliet test Monday. A quick way to study:
- Re-read the whole act. You should be able to do this in half an hour.
- Review the scenes on which we focused in class for blocking/stage instructions. Review what blocking we created and what we used from the text to support those blocking decisions.
- Review the characters, their relationships, and their personalities.
- Review the various peculiarities we’ve discovered in Shakespearean English (inverted sentences, elliptical constructions, etc.)
English 8 students worked on regular Friday work: inferring from a text.
Homework
- English 8: complete any inference work from today as necessary.
- English I Honors:
- prepare for the test;
- students who haven’t taken the practice test should do so at the Moodle site.
