English Studies students (fifth period) today began looking at a Holocaust denial argument as we continue working through Anne Frank. We’ll be working on it the rest of the week as we analyze the argument and determine its flaws.

English Strategies students (fourth period) started the third scene of The Diary of Anne Frank. We’re going back afterward to examine the text for how the dialogue develops the characters and pushes the plot forward.

English I Honors students went through the third scene of Romeo and Juliet. We’re looking at how various characters view love based on the dialogue the playwright gave them.

Journalism students continued with their work on sentence variety as they write a variety of articles. (And there’s your Wednesday pun, of a sort.)

Homework

  • English 8 Studies: none.
  • English I Honors:
    • read scene four;
    • finish the work we began in class on love and marriage in the first four scenes;
    • finish the study guide through scene four.
