First and fifth periods worked on chapter three in Nightjohn, preparing for a second day in which we learn about participles — verbs that think they’re adjectives.

Second and fourth periods examined Poe’s “The Cask of Amontillado” to determine whether or not the narrator, Montressor, is reliable. We came to some mixed conclusions, as evidenced by the notes below.
