First period began reading Nightjohn, looking at voice and how authors create it. Specifically, we looked at word choice of the narrator and discussed how we were able to figure out she is a slave before actually being told directly. (Notes from first period available here.)
Second and fourth periods began creating a character analysis. Tomorrow we’ll be finishing up the outlines we began today. Notes are available here: second period notes and for fourth period.
