First and sixth periods went over the big scene in Diary of Anne Frank: Van Daan gets caught stealing bread! We also had a bit of vocabulary review.
Second and fourth periods looked briefly at the relationships between the “biguns” and “littleuns” in Lord of the Flies after we completed the first of four vocab quizzes (which will all count as one grade).
Seventh period continued with the Hatchet project presentations.
Homework
- First and sixth periods: read 2.4 from Anne Frank.
- Second and fourth periods:
- read chapter five of Lord of the Flies;
- work on Lord of the Flies vocabulary (quiz on chapters 4-6 Tuesday 13 March);
- complete the Maslow Hierarchy of Needs work, due before midnight tonight:
- the lesson;
- writing assignment (be sure to review the rubric beforehand);
- begin working on written response for chapter four in Lord of the Flies;
- review transitional devices as needed.
- continue working on Romeo and Juliet soundtrack project. This is due Tuesday 13 March, but I will give extra credit to anyone who turns it in before the long break (i.e., turns it in Thursday).
