First, sixth, and seventh periods all went to the library for a brief book checkout period. Afterward, first period had a quiz, sixth period did some vocabulary work for a story we’ll be working on tomorrow, and seventh period went over a poem.
Second and fourth periods revisited the Schaffer model, looking at the difference between concrete details and commentary.
Homework
- First and sixth periods: final draft of persuasive essay due tomorrow.
- Second and fourth periods: complete additional research as necessary for the Scottsboro boys trial.
- Seventh period: re-examine the poem from today (“Life,” pg 535), looking for how a watch and life are similar.
