First period examined propaganda, specifically looking at pre-war Nazi propaganda. We looked at cartoons from Julius Streicher’s anti-Semitic magazine, Der Stürmer. We also saw examples of propaganda in postage stamps and propaganda for the kids. We’ll finish up tomorrow by making a group definition of propaganda that includes all we learned today.

Second and sixth periods completed the persuasion techniques hunt, looking for examples of the appeals we covered in class in persuasive writing.

Fourth period began a two-day lesson on ballads.
