English 8 students began acting out The Diary of Anne Frank today. We worked on all the thought and preparation we have to go through to make sure our presentation will be accurate. We explored ideas about staging, props, and blocking.

English I students finished up our work on voice in Mockingbird. We determined that the Southern voice Lee creates in the opening pages comes from her consistent use of the elements we explored yesterday and their frequent doubling up. We also set up our lit circles for the rest of the unit.
