All students began the day by going over some more AOW annotations, specifically looking at how context clues inย other sentences can help us determine the meaning of a word.
English I students worked on integrating quotes into their CDs. We’ll be using this skill throughout the year, so it’s a fairly important skill to master quickly.
English Studies began working on the Schaffer model, an organizational strategy that students will use all year.
We then looked at an example Schaffer paragraph to see the various components in action:
Homework
- English 8: complete the writing sample on Google Classroom as necessary.
- English I Honors:
- complete the final two quote integration practice questions;
- complete “The Most Dangerous Game” questions (as necessary);
- work on the AOW for completion by Monday.
