Today students began by going over the next sentence in our clause-identification practice we’re doing for a starter.
Afterward, we covered standard L-4.1b about active and passive voice.
After students figured out the difference with a little guided discussion, we came up with a few strategies for determining whether a verb is active or passive voice. The easiest way, I think, was to ask whether or not the subject is doing the action within the sentence.
We concluded with a bit of individual practice on Gimkit.
