English I Honors students began the major analytic writing assignment associated with Romeo and Juliet. We’ll be connecting songs to the play to create a soundtrack for a hypothetical film.
English 8 students worked on their Frederick Douglass close reading, which they are now doing in pairs.
Homework
- English 8: continue IXL as needed.
- English I Honors:
- choose which of the connections you want to use for your first writing assignment;
- find a quote from the play and a quote from the song to support these connections;
- continue reviewing the hard song list and the easy song list for the Romeo and Juliet project (check back often as I am still adding songs on a semi-regular basis);
- work on IXL as needed.
