First and sixth periods continued with political cartoons. We’ll be finishing up the unit this week with brief presentations.

Second and sixth periods finished up Lord of the Flies. The culminating project has been in the works since we began the unit, so we’ll be completely done with LotF as soon as the final writing assignment is completed.

Seventh period looked at vocabulary and the -ize suffix.

Homework

• First period: complete the fourth and final cartoon on graphic organizer.
• Second and fourth periods: select one of the two following (and final) Lord of the Flies questions:
• The Conch Shell
• Roger’s Transformation
• Seventh period: complete work on -ize.
