First and sixth periods finished up reading and analyzing Nightjohn. We’ll be using what we learned from the novel to inform our memoir writing, which begins next week.

Second and fourth periods are almost done with short story/literature analysis unit. We worked on irony and symbolism a bit today; we’ll have one more day (Monday) and then start the next unit.

Seventh period continued looking at ways to generate ideas for writing. We did some timed free writing today.
