All periods spent the first twenty minutes of class in the media center as the media specialist acquainted students with this year’s Junior Book Award nominees.

After the presentation, first, sixth, and seventh periods had quizzes.

Second and fourth period went over the homework (quotes that indicate an unreliable narrator) in the story “In the Family.” As we went over the quotes, I gave examples of what analysis would be (inferring, connecting outside the text, etc.).
