Lots of work today: second and sixth periods began looking at specific elements of the short story “An Hour with Abuelo.” We looked at setting, characters, and plot, in preparation for next Thursday’s tests.

First period went over chapter 19 in The Giver, which deals with Release. Afterwards, we discussed euthanasia and its role in the book.

Fourth period continued with Great Expectations.
