Today was the last day of the week and the first day after PASS testing. Everyone is certainly relieved it’s all over.

First and seventh periods continued working on their major project. We finished up the outline today — at least some students did. Students who didn’t finish will have a chance to make up the grade by finishing for homework.

Second Period Watching Charly

Second period reached the climax of Flowers for Algernon and discovered Charley’s horrifying secret.

Fourth period continued with research, learning how to cite sources in the report itself. We also talked briefly about the End of Course exam that everyone will take next Wednesday.

Homework

• First and seventh periods: complete outline as necessary.
• Second period: read through July 6 in Flowers for Algernon, continuing the inferences in journals.
• Fourth period: complete the practice EOC exam in the textbook (page SC16).
