Today we wrote for about 15 minutes. The class had to close their eyes and when they opened it, they had to write about what they first saw. Mr. Scott had shown us an example for he had typed this about whiteboards:

When we were going to school, we didn’t have white boards. They were black boards. With chalk. Dusty, awful chalk. That awful chalk always left something of a haze around the blackboard. There was dust all over the floor. Different teachers used different color chalk, and you could tell the teacher by the color chalk on the floor. You walk out of the room and you leave a trail of chalk footprints. If that happened, it mean there was a lot of writing and erasing on the board – a big lesson. We’d probably learned something new. Or maybe all the students simply spent the last ten minutes drawing and erasing, drawing and erasing…

The class will continue next week with their persuasive technique project.
