First, second, and sixth periods had book talks about the South Carolina Junior Book Award nominees. First period returned in time to polish off conjunctions before the bell rang. (We’ll be having the final test over the parts of speech on Thursday for first period.)
Fourth period did a quick review (in the form of a quiz show game) of the various persuasive techniques we covered Friday.
Homework
- First, second, and sixth periods: none.
- Fourth period: review articles in this list; look for (and make notes of) instances of bias, explaining how a particular example is biased (i.e., which words create the bias).
