Students in first and fifth periods (English 8) worked on some basic instructional procedures we’ll be using throughout the year and also provided me with an initial writing sample.
Students second period (creative writing) completed similar work, providing a writing sample and practicing some of the methods we’ll be using in class to collaborate.
Fourth and sixth periods (English I Honors) used letters from last year’s students to form expectations about this demanding class and practice some of the procedures we’ll be using in class.
Homework
- English I Honors:
- write a 500 word introductory (all about you: what should I know about you, what do you want me to know, etc.) essay, due tomorrow;
- complete the benchmark test on the Moodle site by Monday.
