Today we worked on the rules of a ballad — a silly lesson to get kids thinking a little but nothing too strenuous.

During the extended homeroom, kiddos had a chance to sign yearbooks.

And one young man was the victim of a little prank: “I looked away for two seconds and this happened!”

• English I Honors: are you kidding? Not even the Dread Teacher Scott gives homework this late in the year. (Well, I did ask you to think of an ending for your ballad stanza…)
