English I Honors students squeezed in a little experiment as we work through a grammar unit at the end of the semester: sentence diagramming!

English 8 students worked on Friday inferring. We’re almost done with it for the year: we’ll be doing different Friday work in the second semester.

Homework

• English 8: work on IXL as necessary.
• English I Honors: 
  • work on IXL as needed;
  • diagram these sentences:
    • I wrote Lindsay a very long note.
    • Lavone mailed his best friend a wedding invitation.
    • Rachel and Richard prepared their parents for really bad news about the iguana.
    • Jake lazily watched a football game Sunday.
    • Juan and Carol cleaned the band room and rearranged the tables in the empty cafeteria.
