This evening, I got to meet many of you for the first time. It’s always a thrilling experience: I’ll get to know you over the next several months better, in some limited ways, than your parents and guardians do. You’ll make me smile; you’ll do things that elicit an unintended frown. You’ll be funny; you’ll be infuriating. You’ll educate me; you’ll entertain me. You’ll be a source of joy; you’ll be a source of frustration.

And I’ll likely do all those things to you.
