All periods had a Halloween treat: I read Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” with as much manic-depressive madness as possible. Not being an actor, I’m not able to maintain the kind of true depth of the character for long periods of time.

In addition (or rather, as an opener), first, second, and sixth periods all had a vocabulary quiz.
